I am a Registered Nurse in my 9th year of nursing, with 8 years of experience in critical case nursing. I am currently working in aeromedical retrieval nursing with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Alice Springs since August 2024 as a flight nurse. Before moving to Alice Springs for ICU/Retrieval Nursing, I spent two years travelling Australia, working in regional facilities (ICU/PHC). From February 2018- March 2022 I was employed by Queensland Health at the ICU in Mackay Base Hospital, where I completed the statewide QLD Health Intensive Care Unit transition program and a postgraduate certificate in intensive care nursing (Queensland University of Technology). During this time, I also worked at a Qld Health rural hospital, working in the emergency department, general ward, and theatre (recovery and anesthetics). Additionally, I completed a postgraduate program during my first 12 months as a registered nurse, focusing on the areas of the Renal Dialysis Unit and Proserpine Hospital, within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service. I am extremely passionate about rural/remote health in Australia and have a keen interest in undergoing midwifery study in 2026.
