  • I was employed to work part-time as a Senior Optical Dispenser at Specs Smart Optometrist in Gwelup. I was responsible for assisting customers in getting their best optical needs and requirements that have been recommended by the optometrists.   • During my time as a part-time weekend Senior Optical Dispenser of the Joondalup Store. I was responsible for assisting multiple staff and undertake duties including discussing client’s needs and wants to give them the best optical products and knowledge for their optical requirements.
  • During the period April 2008 to October 2010, I was employed as the Manager of the Perth City Store, with responsibility for managing 4 -5 dispensing staff and one Optometrist.
  • My duties included using a complex database to record client data, another system for staff payroll and coordinating rosters.
  • I reviewed the Profit and Loss statements to look for discrepancies, identify errors and resolve them, as well as analysing KPI Reports to compare our performance across all state retail outlets (11).
  • This process allowed me to change promotional activities to generate greater efficiencies and build in continuous improvements which led to consistently ranking in the top 3 stores.
  • Also, I conducted regular performance appraisals. One employee affected the morale of the team, so I worked with her to improve this deficiency and with my support and guidance she gradually established positive working relationships with her peers, allowing the team to maximise productivity, due to the improved work culture.
  • During the period October 2007 to April 2008, I worked as the Assistant Manager for the Perth City Store. The company had an ongoing regional program to visit rural areas to provide optical services, and I arranged all aspects of the trip including venue hire, accommodation, car hire and booking appointments with customers.
  • On our return, I logged all prescriptions and Medicare information into the database, to track orders and liaised with customers to ensure they received their products.

A key achievement during my tenure with Laubman & Pank has been my consistently high scores gained through mystery shopper surveys. For example, in 2016, I scored 100 percent across all categories, reflecting my capacity to deliver an exceptional experience for customers.
