I coach a domestic U11 Bulleen boys team, and also have participated in many academies from Bulleen such as the Holiday camps, which consist of 6 hour long training sessions with kids aged from 5-15 years old of any gender, race, ethnicity, background etc. I also worked for the 'Bulleen Academy', which occurred every Sunday and consisted of an hour long session of consistent training and rotations. Finally, I worked for an academy called 'Ausome Hoops', which refers to getting young kids diagnosed with Autism, to learn basic basketball skills and be surrounded by people with similar struggles to ensure everyone has equal opportunities in sporting communities and to promote equality and equity, which correlates to the working environment of waitressing.
I volunteered at Banyule Primary School on and off for 2 years, while also having to teach and explain learning concepts to a non-english Japanese student who was in their first year of primary school (Prep). I am not fluent in Japanese, but studied and learnt the language for 3 years, and knew basic communication skills which provided me the ability to help with translating. I also engaged with the class by helping students with their work, reading them stories and engaging in activities.
