- Spent 2 years in SLC teaching others about Jesus Christ
- 1st 3 weeks were spent in a training centre, learning skills and content
- a day would be filled with typically 2-3 hours of study & about 10 hours of service, proselyting, meetings etc
- Proselyting would include talking to absolutely everyone we see, building a genuine connection with them, asking questions to understand their needs, personalising our teaching to resolve their problems.
- We were very persistent and once we extended an invitation that they committed to, we would make plans in the moment to follow up with them and hold them accountable to their commitment
- I was in a leadership position (zone leader) for 15 months, which meant I oversaw between 20-28 missionaries and was responsible for them as individuals and their performance
- Each week I would organise 1 meeting where I would council leaders below myself what they need to be doing
- We would have another weekly meeting for 2 hours where I would train all the missionaries on skills and attributes they need
- Then another hour long meeting in the week would be me leading a role-play session
- Every month, all the zone leaders would gather together and council about what we needed to change as a mission and take it back to our zones
