As an older brother, my parents have at time asked me to babysit my younger brothers. This included the following tasks:

• Played games, worked on puzzles, and read books to my two younger brothers.
• Prepared healthy, age-appropriate snacks and meals.
• Assisted with meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry to support family with additional chores.
• Handled conflicts between siblings effectively using conflict resolution techniques resulting in a more peaceful household.
• Communicated positively with children and guardians.
• Organized and cleaned home after activities by picking up toys and straightening up play room.
• Maintained a clean and organized environment to ensure the well-being of children under care.

I attended and completed the YES program that taught me valuable work readiness skills. The training was presented in an adult learning environment, preparing me for a workplace and the transition from a school environment. I made meaningful connections that I have maintained and given me the confidence to begin my work career.
