Calm, Composed and Caring as a Disability Support Worker skilled at working with individuals living with [various complex physical and psychological] issues. Versed in daily living support, meal preparation and mobility assistance. Offers excellent interpersonal and communication skills developed through field experience. Due to my "bigger" stature and previous experience I found myself more suited to clients with complex behavioural difficulties requiring me to use several approved restrictive practises varying from physical restraints to the seclusion off food or dangerous belongings, I also was in charge of several Creative Arts programs where I would entertain, support and teach participants music and art, to which they reached a standard of competence good enough for a performance at the yearly ability ball in front of hundreds of peers.
***Car accident travelling to work early morning saw me re-evaluate options and eventually find work closer to home***
Drawing, Sculpting, Painting, Woodworks, Wireworks and Metalworks. I just love making something people can appreciate made out of raw pliable materials.
