I have recently moved back to Australia after living and working in Canada since march 31 2023, while over there I have gained experience around hotels and restaurants from working as a line cook to working in hotel maintenance, Im hard working and big on attention to detail. My main daily roles included completing checklists and walk-throughs around the property and equipment to maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures. I was also in charge of Operating varies hand and power tools to complete repairs. Part of my job was also to help house keeping with the Handling of a wide range of cleaning products and solutions. Reporting issues to my property manager was also my daily role. i was also in charge of completing daily tests of PH and sanitary levels of the hot tub along with the maintenance of the pumps and filters.
My main duties in this position include; arranging specials, cooking and presenting high-quality food while following company protocals. Prioritized time management and production while being the only member of back of house on shift. Ensuring food is of the highest standards and follows The Cattle Guards established food quality and plating. Clean and sanitize the kitchen and work surfaces. Complete prep lists and ensure enough product is available for service. Communicate effectively with all team members to allow for smooth operations.
Managed the stripping of all rooms between two hotel buildings. Sorted hotel laundry into all appropriate categories. Washed and spot treated all bedding, sheets, and linens. Dried and folded all laundry in compliance with company standards. Ensured all rooms were dressed and fresh well before guests check in times.
Opened storefront and prepared sales goals for the day. Greeted all customers and assessed their needs to best assist them. Handled cash as well as using the P.O.S system. Handled receiving shipments, warehousing, retail floor restocking needs. Frequently communicated with managers and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsible for both opening and closing the store on separate occasions.
