The role of the Capalaba Division shift supervisor is to provide 24-hour support and guidance to operational police on the road throughout operational leadership and management:

  • Conduct daily shift briefing to rostered staff and support units, liaise with the DDO and Comco and review Local Computer Aided Dispatch (LCAD), give clear and concise directions to crews as to what is expected during the shift and tasks to be completed

  • Identify and manage all of the stations operational risk portfolios, identify and mitigate risks within the stations operations, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, implementing OPMS (not sure f this is right term here), and ensuring measures to minimize risks to personnel, the public and property
  • Ensure high quality response to critical incident management via coordinating response efforts of the station and collaborating with other agencies to manage situation effectively.
