- Worked as an irrigation technician and farmhand over 2 cotton seasons
- Worked as a member of a small team to control all aspects of water management including: gate maintenance, rota bucks, supply channels, head ditches and tail drains whilst also monitoring the movement of water across the whole 80 000 acre property
- Responsibilities as a farmhand varied on a day to day basis but included; concreting/basic construction, metal works, maintenance and upkeep of existing projects etc.
