Placement 2: Campbelltown Hospital – Aged Care Ward (2 weeks)
Delivered holistic care to elderly patients with multiple comorbidities. Assisted with continence care, mobility, dementia support, and palliative care. Administered medications under supervision and documented daily care activities and patient progress in EMR. Practised oral and subcutaneous medication administrations as well as clear and respectful communication during family interactions and clinical handovers.

Placement 3: Campbelltown Hospital – Medical Assessment Unit (2 weeks)
Cared for patients presenting with acute medical issues. Monitored vitals, fluid balance, and pain scores; documented findings and progress notes in EMR. Called a clinical review for deteriorating observations and updated documentation to reflect timely escalation. Gained experience administering medications via oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular routes. Provided ISBAR handovers to incoming shifts.

Placement 4: St George Hospital – Mental Health Unit (2 weeks)

Placement 5: Sutherland Hospital – Neuro/Oncology Ward (2 weeks)
Completed neurological observations and symptom management for patients undergoing chemotherapy and those with neurological conditions. Documented patient assessments and progress notes in EMR. Administered medications via oral, IV and subcutaneous routes. Communicated with families, nurses, and medical staff, and participated in daily ISBAR handovers.

Placement 6: St George Hospital – Intensive Care Services (4 weeks)
Assisted in providing complex care to critically ill patients, including head to toe assessments, ventilator support, arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and interpretation, and haemodynamic monitoring. Provided nursing care for patients with nasogastric (NG) tubes, including enteral medication administration, and patency checks. Administered medications via oral, IV, subcutaneous and enteral routes under supervision. Gained experience using the ERIC system to document patient observations, assessments, and progress notes. Communicated with doctors during ward rounds and raised clinical concerns when vitals, blood results or assessments results were outside expected parameters.
