Accomplishments

    I served as a Medical Assistant in 9 Field Ambulance Army Reserve Unit in Townsville for 5 years and achieved the rank of Lance Corporal.


    During this time I participated in numerous army exercises as medical support either in the RAP or in the Medical Ward, working closely with Doctors and the patients.


    Our Medical Unit was first response team to support 1RAR Infantry Unit and put on standby, when the Falklands conflict started.


    As with all military positions, training was paramount and developing skills to work with and support your fellow army unit colleagues was essential.


    I also applied for Officer Cadet Training Unit to become a 2nd Lieutenant and passed all relevant testing but declined the final acceptance due to personal circumstances.
