  • Effectively manage end to end recruitment activities for Cochlear Brisbane based Electronic Assemblers.
  • Work closely with process engineers and hiring managers to understand the business needs.
  • Act as advocate Cochlear mission, articulating Cochlear’s process and brand to prospective candidates.
  • Provide appropriate feedback throughout the interview and selection process ensuring an overall positive candidate experience.
  • Ensuring consistent application of the selection criteria is complete and in line with process.
  • Handle candidate and current employee data within Cochlear policy and local Privacy law requirements.
  • Maintain recruitment administration, including ensuring recruitment activity is recorded in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure job files are complete (in accordance with internal policies and legislation)
  • Contribute ideas on process methods to improve deliverables.

Achievements:

  • Stepping into this role the business stopped recruiting through an agency (saving $500k p.a.) which allowed a market reset of Our Electronic Assemblers wage based on the cost savings of approximately $300k ($600k for full year), from the first pay period in January 2024 our CBO EA's have received a 11% pay increase on top of this year review 3.5 % so 7k increase this year allowing us to attract and retain talent
  • Support the move from Page Up to Workday while insuring a seamless transition by being the point of contact for both Managers and candidates for any recruitment related queries

Reason for leaving:

Due to the achievement of the projected Electronic Assembler hiring goals as set in April 2023 (over 100 hires) and significant automation once Workday has been implemented the contract concluded.

  • Support the Group HR Manager by coordinating in-house, end-to-end recruitment services for Australia and New Zealand across a multidisciplinary and diverse business
