Job Description

  • Providing anaesthetic nursing care to the patients in
    pre-operative, inoperative and post-operative period.
  • Basic skills in managing airway including bag mask
    ventilation. intubation, nasal and oral airway insertion.
  • Aware of handling Flexible Fiber-optic Laryngoscope for
    paralyzed or awake intubation.
  • Performing lumber puncture and deliver spinal
    anaesthesia under supervision.
  • Medication administration to patients following 8 rights
    to ensure safe administration of medication.
  • Assist anaesthesiologist during General, Spinal, Epidural
    Anaesthesia, Cental Line insertion and various
    ultrasounds-guided peripheral nerve blocks.
  • Aware of using sedation. Ultrasound for regional
    anaesthesia, lung scan and basic echocardiography.
  • Prepare and perform intravenous access in elective and
    emergency situations.
  • Access and plan nursing care needs of patients and
    implement the care.
  • Perform nursing intervention in accordance with
    recognized standard of practice.
  • Fluid and electrolyte balance (IV infusion, administration
    blood transfusion).
  • CPR and effectively manage emergency situations.
  • Wound management and palliative care.
  • Provide health education to the patients.

    prescribed standards.

    management.

    care planning, reviews and ongoing evaluation of patient
    care, Medication management and administration.
