Blair McLean

My experience dates back to well before I left school, due to being raised on my fathers family farm and undertaking general farm duties and machinery operating procedures.

I have currently been out of school for 5 years now, and have been working since, i am diligent and try my best and hardest at all times to try and be the most efficient I can be. I have worked in several team environments and I strive in teamwork.

I am currently working on a family run broadacre cropping farm, growing canola and wheat. I have worked for Coleman pastoral Co for nearly 2 years now, my job includes operating and maintaining a variety of machinery safely and efficiently to get the crop in and crop off in an appropriate time.

Duties i under take include operating combines

Seeders

Fertiliser spreaders

general road maintenance and other maniscus jobs requiring machinery.

Also all maintenance on all peices of machinery that are included in our fleet.

I also do all maintenance on the 4 combines my boss owns, I am confident and quick when it comes to machinery break downs and solutions when it comes to down time.

My preferred job at harvest is operating combines, I now have 5 full seasons of operation under my belt, mainly Case IH combines most recently done 2 full years in a new 50 series combine, but I am more then willing to adjust and learn new machinery.

I am a fast learner, never complain, and also do as I am told, I’m always learning and willing to take on advice and also give advice from personal experiences if necessary.
