  • Complete CSNSW reports to offer advice to Management regarding child-related offenders and their suitability to engage in visits whilst incarcerated within NSW, keeping in line with the Child Contact Assessment Policy (CCAP) and all other relevant governmental legislation.
  • Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders to ensure CSNSW followed its legislative responsibilities relating to how children and child-related offenders are managed within the NSW custodial environment.
  • Provide statewide advice and support regarding Child Protection to staff across all areas of CSNSW and DCJ to reduce risks and ensure all serious risks of harm to children are being reported appropriately.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of CPCSU policies and procedures to ensure the continuous improvement of business continuity within the team.
  • I have spent 12 weeks cumulatively in 2024 performing this role, with an upcoming 14 weeks from March - June 2025.

  • Demonstrating knowledge of relevant legislation and CSNSW policy and procedure by liaising and providing information and advice on child protection issues to a range of internal and external stakeholders - including Community and Custodial Corrections, NGOs, and families/caregivers
