Throughout my time at Brownes Dairy my role was to fix breakdowns on various different food production machines, motors, valves, instrumentation equipment and site services.

Working with 1 or 2 fitters depending on our shift rotation I also spent a lot of time fixing mechanical breakdowns when we were flooded with multiple simultaneously.

After 2 years of working here I was put through my Cert IV in electrotechnology allowing me to take leading hand in planning, co-ordination and servicing of the many different types of instrumentation devices. Including Temperature probes, Flow meters, Pressure transmitters, Level probes, Conductivity probes and installation of all the above.

Working leading hand in this field I was involved with the automation team and a developed a basic understanding of how to maintain, service and install instruments as well as how to programme it.

I'll list some things that I was completing on a day to day basis.

• Reduced downtime by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial electrical systems in a timely manner.
• Maintained a clean and organized work environment by adhering to strict safety guidelines and enforcing proper housekeeping practices.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to complete complex electrical installations and repairs in various industrial settings.
• Optimized production processes through regular inspection, testing, and calibration of electrical components and machinery.
• Streamlined workflow by maintaining accurate records of performed maintenance tasks, spare parts inventory, and equipment status.
• Contributed to successful project completion by reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine proper installation methods.
• Enhanced overall plant performance through the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across various process lines.
• Enhanced safety of the workplace by identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Supported plant operations by performing emergency repairs on malfunctioning electrical systems during peak production hours.

• Installed, tested and modified circuit breakers, controls, fuses, lights and and general power outlets.
• Installed and wired electrical hardware, including transformers, junction boxes, service panels, electrical boxes, ovens, aircons, retic controllers and bore pumps.
• Tested electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using various testing devices.
• Performed electrical system installatin and mainteance of power distribution and motor control systems in a domestic and industrial circumstance.
• Planned motor starter and control installations by installing float, level probe, timer, sensor, proximity, thermal and photoelectric switching.
• Worked with various types of cableways, conduits and other electrical raceways.
• Worked extended hours on weekday and weekend projects.

• Manufacturing of limestone post and panels in the workshop.
• Installation of limestone post and panels on construction sites.
• Loaded, unloaded and moved material to and from storage and production areas.
• Operation of machinery e.g forklift, bobcat, dingo.
