Brad Petrovski

As of January 2023, i have had my first opportunity to step foot into the construction industry as a basic Scaffolder for Alto Scaffolding in Canberra, ACT. I Have worked and been working on numerous types of projects throughout Canberra and NSW ranging from small scale residential developments to high rise apartment and commercial structures. With the knowledge i have gained from being in the Construction industry for just over 3 years, i have applied it to my Architectural and construction studies at University, giving me a physical understanding of how a building goes from conception to completion. As Scaffolding is a very labour intensive job, it comes with a very technical way of thinking that is required to erect and dismantle scaffolding, meaning that there is extensive critical thinking and calculations in order to erect scaffolding which i have had many situations where i had to apply my knowledge to the job in order to build safely and ensuring that it is compliant to standards

While working with Precision Dustless Blasting which is a sandblasting company located in Canberra, ACT, i have had the opportunity to liaise with builders and clients about jobs that are needed on their site, being a labourer has had numerous tasks involved such as maintaining equipment, ordering materials and quoting jobs.

I gained extensive people and customer communication skills while advancing through the ranks to a management role. I was responsible for reporting operational matters to franchisees and ensuring the safety of the store and all employees under my management. I managed deadlines, conducted stock counts, altering issues through the restaurants operating system, handling orders and developed strong food safety standards for the stores that i was employed at.
