Summary

The management rights business is a new venture for me.


I bring with me years of experience in managing a team, keeping operations running and on time through my 17 years of flying airlines, and before that over 6 years in general aviation.


Aviation necessitates that you go where the work is, and in doing so I learnt to go the extra mile as needed in order to get the job done' - it was an invaluable life experience.


My ecommerce entrepreneurial side has taught me the value of self-sufficiency, and the need to have a broad yet detailed understanding of an operation.


In it are many moving parts that must work together to achieve the goal. It's not always easy - but I get it done.


I am a quick learner, and quite handy when it comes to tools and building/fixing items around the house. Perhaps my High School Woodworking 1st Prize did come in handy after all!

I like to think I have a good sense of humour, and am always up for a bit of a chat and light banter with friends.


What I may be short on, in this early stage, in Real Estate experience, I believe I make up for in life skills. I will draw on those as I build on my knowledge of real estate.


I learn quickly, I learn hands on. I think I would be an asset to any management rights complex.

  • Hire and monitor team for outsourcing much of the routine jobs needed.
  • Managed financial aspects of the business including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Mapped income generating strategies to grow revenue.
  • Negotiated supplier contracts to secure competitive pricing for materials and services.

  • International Airline captain on short-, medium-, and long-haul operations.
  • Destinations around Asia, Australia, Europe and the USA, Sth Africa.
  • Leader of flight crew, ensuring all crew adhere to procedures, checklists for safe efficient operation of flights.
  • Problem solver - most technical issues, if any, were resolved through checklists and procedures. At other times it was the captains experience, with input from other crew that resolved a non-standard or complex issue.
  • Personnel conflict resolver - if and when issues arose it was incumbent on the captain to diffuse any situation to ensure orderly conduct on the flight.
  • This often required delegation to crew, and for the captain to ensure it all went smoothly.
