  • Personally, developed the 1st process model andn flowsheet of the refinery using Syscad simulation tool
  • Personally, developed an in-house hybrid digestion design to overcome adverse bauxite impurity impacts in high temperature digestion
  • This design was provided to a Digestion Technology Provider who detailed the first of its kind worldwide
  • (Eventually successfully implemented, operated and proven a robust high temperature design for impurity laden bauxites.) Scoped and coordinated various testwork activities with Alcan Engineering, CSIRO (Perth, Australia) and Joint Venture Partner, Alcoa
  • Owner’s team process optimisation, value engineering and technology/equipment selection
  • Various Project Stage Gate Activities: PFD, PID Approvals
  • Process Safety reviews - CHAZOP/HAZOP participation
  • Engaging in detailed contract review and negotiation with several parties, covering individual contracts up to AUS$300 million
  • Compiled process performance contracts for the various technology providers.
