Surgical assistance - induction and maintenance of appropriate levels of anaesthesia. Premeditating patients and post-op pain relief. Maintaining aseptic technique. Cleaning and maintenance of surgical equipment, theatres and instruments. Dental scale and polishing. Advanced anaesthesia monitoring.


Patient care - monitoring patient vitals, maintaining fluid therapy, wound management and bandaging, monthly injections, medication administration, basic drug calculations.


Diagnostic support - cephalic, saphenous and jugular blood drawing, Idexx blood analyser, Vetscan analyser, Vetscan Imagyst, cytology preparation, radiography assistance, sonography assistance.


Administration - Maintaining patient hospital charts and invoicing, management of pharmaceutical inventory, answering emails and phone calls.


Client communication - preparation and executing a 4 week puppy school, education of parasite control, nutrition and preventative health care.


Emergency - Worked an on call roster (nearest emergency centre was 6 hours away) and have experience in routine and non routine scenarios and surgeries. Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
