Played a key role in fast-tracking the initial development processes to support a growing workforce following the company’s maiden drill campaign. Operated in one of Australia’s most remote regions, establishing supply lines and providers where none previously existed.

Provide support and supervise the execution of Resource Definition Earthworks programs and provide support to the contract partners.

Contractor Management and ensure earthworks contractors are operating safely and efficiently by adhering to the FMG HSE standards and policies.

Regular review of FMG and Contractor earthmoving procedures. Standardize Earthworks systems and processes across the sites.

Maintain contractor relations to; ensure the earthworks required for drilling are completed to the required standard, the best utilization of earthworks machinery, to identify and implement operational efficiencies and business improvement initiatives.

Liaise with all the Strategic Planning departments and review upcoming earthworks scopes. Develop and maintain the Earthworks and Rehabilitation schedules across the sites.

Ensure POW/LUC requirements are adhered to, and rehabilitation commitments are met.

• Planned and scheduled field activities according to set timelines and order of operations.
• Oversaw daily operations at site, keeping team production moving at optimal pace.
• Trained workers in proper methods, equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Organized and managed all site based earthworks and machinery hire.

• Prepared operational budget and directed proper utilization of company resources to meet objectives.
• Developed and implemented processes and strategies to achieve operational goals.
• Coordinated and scheduled field personnel to cover operations throughout assigned regional area.
• Facilitated all field operations through supervision and direction of field personnel. (Geochem sampling, mapping, heritage surveys, earthworks and drilling operations).

• Established supplier network and implemented cost control management system across 2 sites.
• Recruited, trained and empowered required field staff to meet demands of rapidly growing business. This included undertaking ‘gap analysis’ processes to identify staff required as well as list minimum training/qualifications required for each roll.
• Organized and manage all site-based earthworks and machinery including; Large scale exploration clearing and rehabilitation works (14 drill rigs running including resource definition programs), Civil construction works including commissioning and construction of 2 operation mining camps, RO & STP plants and fuel areas, Upkeep and repair of unsealed roads & river crossings.
• Provided support and guidance required too allow geological team to fucus on discovery
• Successfully commissioned and improved 2 x full camps whilst at maximum capacity.
• Successful and safe planning and implementation resulted in very low overall discovery cost.
• Massive discovery success – Soon to become 'Tier 1 mine'.

• Successfully recruited and built entire exploration team and systems to allow for urgent $40m exploration push required to add to life of mine.
• Mixture of ResDev & Greenfield success with up to 6 new Greenfields discoveries being mined & processed efficiently.
• Managed ‘Projects Team’ tasked with business-critical activities such as construction of ‘Tailings Storage Facility’ & ‘Sewerage Treatment Plant’ & Camp expansion completed in record time.
• Organized and manage all site-based earthworks and machinery as well as managing preferred contractor ‘Edwards Mining & Civil’. Duties included; Large scale exploration clearing and rehabilitation works – 6 drill rigs running concurrently including resource definition programs, Civil construction works, & the ongoing upkeep and repair of unsealed roads & river crossings.
• Was appointed acting ‘Registered Manager’ for whole site 1 week out of 3 for last 6 months.
