Summary

Registered Nurse currently practicing in the Intensive Care Unit of Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, who is seeking the opportunity to further develop nursing skills and knowledge in the area of IV Access.

You will find I am an honest, reliable and hard-working individual who endeavours to provide the highest possible standard of patient-centred care. I have a compassionate and empathetic nature and continuously strive to have a meaningful impact on the experiences of all patients and their family members. I am a very eager and driven employee who takes pride in self-development and patient advocacy, with the aim of being able to promote best possible outcomes for all patients. Additionally, I recognise teamwork and collaboration as paramount in healthcare. You will find I am a kind and caring team member who treats all colleagues with the utmost respect and relishes the opportunity to work alongside all other health professionals.

During my time practicing as a Registered Nurse I have been able to develop strong clinical, problem-solving, negotiation and interpersonal skills. This has allowed me to provide effective and holistic care to a diverse range of patients in medical, surgical and critical care areas.

Furthermore, I have actively sought out opportunities available to me in order to continue broadening my evidence-based knowledge and up-skilling as a Registered Nurse. I am a strong believer in continuously challenging myself in order to improve my ability to care for patients. I was offered the chance to obtain my cannulation competency whilst in my graduate program and have since have had the opportunity to work on a daily basis with all types of vascular access devices whilst in the ICU. As such, I have continued to build on my strong interest in the area, which accompanied with my ongoing desire to upskill, has driven me to apply for the Clinical Nurse training position within the IV Access team.
