• In this role I worked on multiple commercial building sites working directly under the site manager. Tasks included
• Reading and interpreting plans for all aspects of construction work.
• Setting out footings, hold down bolts, walls, doors, grid ceilings, etc.
• Installing new walls both steel frame and timber frame, installing doors and door handles. Installing skirting and architraves and all aspects of finish carpentry work.
• Working out concrete quantities, assisting in laying and finishing concrete.
• Executed demolition of walls, floors, and ceilings on construction sites.
• Operating elevated work platform over 11m, operating scissor lifts, operating materials hoist, operating telehandler.

Working in a team of carpenters and apprentices, we built new residential homes both single and 2 storey; this included both prefabricated frames and stick framing. Tasks required included reading plans and setting out of frames, marking plates , erecting frames, bracing, tiedown, marking out and installing trusses. Framing out and installing soffits, installing doors, windows, skirting’s, architraves
