Summary
Working in the team environment has provided me with some of the most rewarding and most challenging experiences to date.
My Clinical career has lead me from private clinical practice to hospital services, western regional hospital clinics and medical teams in sports medicine.
Generally I have worked in team environments to date and have a good grasp on what influences the cohesion of cultural values to produce best results.
In my view, the role of the Team leader is to ensure the team has the resources, skills and motivation to achieve the best outcome.
An Allied Health team requires the ability to keep the focus on what we have and how we might maximise our output to achieve maximum value.
My current role in Aeromedical response has developed my skills in The human factor and how it often affects outcomes and performance.
I have been teaching and assessing Human Factors and Non technical skills for our aeromedical crews for 2 years and see it more and more moving into hospital environments.
I have been flying aeromedical operations in Dubbo and surrounds for over 13 years. This has, along with my Allied health lens given me good insight on the need and possible development in this area.
I still operate as a sports podiatrist privately which keeps me in up to date with regulatory and technological changes in the profession.
I am a good communicator without over communicating.
I am a planner and well organised with a bias on evidence based decision making.
I value team cohesion and common goal ideology as a good stating motivator to achieve positive results.
