SCADA Engineer

  • Ensuring that the SCADA system can communicate with various field devices, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), RTUs (Remote Terminal Units), and other control systems. Integration may involve using standard communication protocols like Modbus, DNP3, OPC, or custom protocols.
  • Implementing data logging and archiving systems to store historical data for analysis, reporting, and compliance purposes.
  • Setting up and configuring the network infrastructure to ensure reliable communication between SCADA components, including field devices, controllers, and central servers.


  • Carried out surveys to determine condition of existing systems and made recommendations for further improvement.

  • Supervise installation of solar panels, string combiner boxes, lightning arrestors, weather monitoring equipment, closed circuit televisions (cctvs), lighting systems, network control unit for trackers, tracker motors, cable trays as well as earth pit construction
  • Provide support to the site engineer in the installation of inverters and transformers
  • Performing insulation resistance and high potential tests on power cables.
