Through my roles at Rekonnect Children’s Services and Camp Breakaway, combined with my Community Services studies, I have developed strong skills in working effectively with a diverse range of clients. This experience has increased my abilities in verbal and non-verbal communication, handling challenging conversations, conflict resolution, problem-solving, time management, recognising risks/ harm and report writing. My student placement at The Glen for Women allowed me to deepen my understanding of Aboriginal culture and alcohol and other drug recovery. Additionally, my temporary employment with Flash Support allowed me to provide compassionate care and assistance to clients in need, further strengthening my practical skills. I am proficient in MS Office applications and passionate about helping people through difficult times. I have been recognised for being a quick learner, reliable, resilient, and adaptable.
Completed student placement at The Glen for Women as part of my TAFE course requirements, where I gained knowledge around alcohol and other drugs, sat alongside caseworkers to observe the case management process, participated in cultural awareness within the community, and assisted in running day-to-day programs.
Worked in a temporary role supporting a single dad and his four-year-old son with autism. Assisted with daily care and kept notes on his progress.
