History

My name is Brooke Andrews, and I am a primary teacher with a Bachelor of Primary Education. Throughout my degree, I have completed professional learning experiences at Clarkson Primary, Davallia Primary, and Methodist Ladies’ College. I also had the opportunity to become a part-time teacher at Pannawonica Primary School in the Pilbara in 2022 where I experienced a wide variety of classes and year groups ranging from Kindergarten to Year 10. Through these experiences, I have developed excellent skills in classroom management, organisation, and communication. My employment at Pannawonica Primary School as a part time educator has taught me valuable skills of behavioural management and has improved my adaptability. In my final practicum, I spent the whole duration of Term 3 at Methodist Ladies’ College teaching Year 5, where I was exposed to a wide range of experiences. During this practicum, I had the opportunity to; conduct a whole cohort excursion, lessons, and activities, attend professional learning seminars, develop insightful relationships, engaged in sport carnivals, conducted parent teacher interviews, and made a positive impact on students. Throughout all my practicums, I have received a high distinction. I am willing and able to lead any class and ensure a productive and purposeful lesson is achieved. I am dedicated to the wellbeing of my students and will support them on their pursuit of knowledge as they grow to reach their full potential and become contributing members of society. I am a reliable employee, who adapts well to fast paced, and dynamic environments. My enthusiasm to teach is evident in my practice and I hope to have the opportunity to demonstrate my competency in culminating a productive and positive learning experience for all my students.
