Responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives across Tabcorp. Led the implementation of critical programs and systems, ensured compliance with legislative requirements, and fostered a strong safety culture through proactive leadership, engagement, and risk management.

Key Achievements

• Led the implementation and roll-out of the Sonder program, enhancing employee access to wellbeing and mental health support.
• Delivered the full implementation of a new Health and Safety Management System, ensuring alignment with WHS legislation and industry best practice.
• Oversaw the rollout of contractor management onboarding, integrating Donesafe with Oracle Fusion to improve user experience for both contractors and internal contract controllers.
• Supported the H&S systems demerger and data cleanse, reducing user numbers, improving data integrity, and delivering long-term cost efficiencies.
• Managed the organisation’s Health and Safety risk profile review, partnering with business unit stakeholders to reassess hazard controls and risk ratings—including psychosocial hazards on a yearly basis.
• Established and facilitated the Health and Safety Committee, enhancing governance and stakeholder engagement across the business.
• Directed the organisation-wide deployment of Donesafe, streamlining safety reporting, compliance, and corrective action workflows.
• Prepared quarterly reports to the Board and Remuneration Committee, providing key metrics and strategic updates.
• Delivered regular safety performance briefings to Senior Leadership Teams, supporting data-informed decision-making and proactive risk management.
• Supported the organisation through critical incident and emergency management, particularly during natural disasters, ensuring employee safety and operational resilience.
• Managed and renewed Workers’ Compensation insurance policies, ensuring cost-effective coverage and legal compliance.
• Sustained low LTIFRs annually by empowering H&S Advisors, embedding early intervention models, and coaching leaders on effective injury management and return-to-work practices.
• Oversaw all injury management matters to ensure a proactive and supportive approach that minimised impact on teams and enabled early return to work.
• Led complex injury management claim, with emphasis on psychological claims, common law disputes, and resolution of claim challenges.
• Ensured full compliance with WHS legislation, codes of practice and audit standards, maintaining a high level of organisational readiness.
• Mentored and led a team of Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisors, driving team performance, capability development, and alignment to business goals.
