- Assist the farm owner in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency in the production and maintenance of crops

- Crop planning

- Ground preparation

- Research into required/improvement products for crop management

- Application of required fertilisers/chemicals (licence held)

- Operation of a wide range of modern machinery including John Deere with satellite guidance systems

- All duties and actions performed with workplace health and safety practices at front of mind

Repairs & Maintenance

- Repairs and maintenance of tractors, implements and other machinery ensuring all tools and machinery are in working condition for optimal productivity

Management

- Supervision of and providing guidance to staff to ensure start to end successful dispatch of product to the customer

- Conducted employee training and educate employees on products such as fertilisers and chemicals used

- Monitor farm performance metrics, including yield, quality, and resource usage, to help achieve targets and optimise operations

Record Keeping/Financial (Assisting with Farm Owner)

- Yearly budgeting

- Handle administrative tasks such as record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations

- Maintenance and record keeping of appropriate QA system (HASSAP), as well as attending all required audits.
