Summary

My 10 years service at G4S Port Phillip Prison showcased my ability to complete operational daily tasks in a challenging environment, and foster positive relationships within both staff and prisoner groups. My skills in high-pressure situations acquired through my training, significantly contributed to a safer, more efficient correctional environment. My approach consistently met service delivery outcomes required by Corrections Victoria. I underwent ongoing training including First aid, CPR, Fire training including use of CABA ( compressed air breathing apparatus ), Defensive tactics ( tactical ) and Conflict De-escalation. The last 4 years i have worked in the Prison Industries area, providing an opportunity for employment, learning and development to the prisoner group. The past 12 months i have been the Industry forklift operator, responsible for all deliveries into the Prison. Working closely with partners to establish safe and organised entry and exit from the facility.
