  • Store presentation and refresh - Make sure the shop floor is in a presentable and neat manner.
  • Filling to the shop floor, backfilling procedures, and packing away.
  • Shopkeeper - Main daytime team member in each department; conducts upkeep of store visual merchandising standards, allocates places for new products, and maintains respective departments, along with general customer service.
  • Decant - decanting items that have recently been shipped to the store in the back of house.
  • Processing layouts of the shop floor, in adherence to the relevant planograms.
  • Filling to the shop floor, backfilling procedures, and pack away.
  • Service Desk - Processing refunds, laybys, photo and mug-making orders, and general customer service.
  • Checkouts and Self-Checkouts Operator - Operating POS, maintaining the front of house, and providing general customer service.

  • Online - Picking, processing, and packing online click-and-collect orders, including express orders, in the back of house.

I have worked full-time and currently work on the weekends in the position of Admin, working in the Cash Office, and being responsible for:

  • Creating and printing daily and weekly cash spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Daily reconciliation, recording, and filing of refund and layby reports, price overrides, and other dockets/receipts.
  • Daily and weekly review, signing, and filing of store process reports and paperwork.
  • Weekly usage of Microsoft Excel to record missing dockets, refunds, and laybys.
  • Daily topping up and removal of excess cash from the self-checkouts, including the secure movement of the cash through the store to the cash machine.
  • Daily printing off and executing of new markup and markdown price tickets, including clearance tickets and limited-edition promotions.
  • Checking the store catalogue for product recalls, limited edition sale events, and other promotions.
  • Weekly liaising with Armaguard to take excess cash from the cash machine, receive cash orders, and dispose of soiled or damaged notes.
  • Topping up the cash machine with money from the vault.
  • Recording of petty cash and other overheads.
  • Weekly review of the number of price overrides and shrinkage in each store department.
  • Review and secure the disposal of aged, lost, and found items.
  • Keeping inventory of click-and-collect orders, and removing canceled orders.
  • Invoicing of Coca-Cola, Smith's, and Wilson's parking receipts.
  • Review and remove aged Target and Catch.com.au click-and-collect orders.
  • Conducting sell-by-date audits, privacy audits, and other business improvement audits.
  • Investigating overdue shipments, shipments that weren't properly received, and checking shipments the store hasn't received yet.
  • Filing paperwork and secure disposal of aged documentation.
  • I also have assisted management in conducting a group interview.

I have trained new team members across the store and am trained in using the cardboard baler and pallet jack.
