Learning to assess the unwell child with a systematic approach. Attending high-risk deliveries to offer neonatal respiratory support, and performing newborn examinations on well babies. Coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, allied health professionals and specialists at Sydney Children's Hospital. Maintaining a patient-centred approach to ensure the well-being and comfort of young patients and their families.

Completed three rural terms (9 months) in Bega, NSW in general surgery, general medicine and paediatrics Working in rural healthcare with more limited resources, developing communication skills with specialty teams in Canberra, coordinating care from a distance and organising transfer of sick patients.

Covering care of medical, surgical, paediatric and obstetric patients after hours developing skills to facilitate my goal to become a rural generalist.

Worked in a dynamic and multidisciplinary team environment to facilitate delivery of patient care to a high standard. This involves both clinical and interpersonal skills, communicating effectively with allied health staff, senior colleague's and patients. Rotations in medicine, surgery, paediatrics and obstetrics & gynaecology.

Facilitated students in their learning of both course and laboratory materials. Led students in both physiology practicals and anatomy practicals focused around human specimens.

Used a Trans-Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) technique on human volunteers to investigate the role of the various spinal motor tracts in movement.

This position resulted in a publication in Experimental Brain Research Journal.

Guiding and supporting students in practical lab sessions, ensuring they understand key scientific concepts and techniques. Fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment, clarifying theoretical concepts, and encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving.
