• Undertook a critical care role in Child and Maternal Health, with rotations in Emergency and Paediatrics.
• Managed unwell patients - adults, children and neonates - in a setting with limited resources. Communicated with tertiary centres to organise transfer of critically unwell patients.
• Undertook teaching of medical students and junior medical staff including in paediatric emergency simulation.

• Organised and coordinated paediatric simulation sessions for Emergency Department and Paediatrics staff alongside my senior colleague Dr Caroline Stewart.
• Wrote scenarios and oversaw simulation sessions, providing critical learning points and feedback for nursing, medical staff and students.

• Completed 3 months as an RMO and 3 months as an SRMO in rural general paediatrics.
• Assessed and managed unwell neonates and children with a systematic approach.
• Attended high-risk deliveries to offer neonatal resuscitation. Leading ward rounds.
• Reviewed patients independently in outpatient clinics and following up their care. Coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, allied health professionals and specialists both locally and at specialist centres.
• Maintained a patient and family centred approach.

• Worked in a dynamic and multidisciplinary team environment to facilitate delivery of patient care to a high standard.
• Completed rotations in medicine, surgery, paediatrics and obstetrics & gynaecology.
• Completed three rural terms (9 months) in Bega, NSW in general surgery, general medicine and paediatrics.

• Facilitated students in their learning of both course and laboratory materials.
• Led students in both physiology practicals and anatomy practicals focused around human specimens.

• Used a Trans-Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) technique on human volunteers to investigate the role of the various spinal motor tracts in movement.
• This position resulted in a publication in Experimental Brain Research Journal.

Guiding and supporting students in practical lab sessions, ensuring they understand key scientific concepts and techniques. Fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment, clarifying theoretical concepts, and encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving.
