• Managing a portfolio of General and Temperature Controlled Marine Cargo, Marine Repairer’s and Carrier’s Liability and Industrial Special Risks claims on behalf of domestic and overseas underwriters and interested parties.
• Field and office based assessing of Marine Cargo, Carriers and Project Cargo matters for the purpose of preparing accurate and prompt reports with clear settlement recommendations.
• Assessing of landed containerised and Break Bulk Cargo at wharves and warehouses prior to dispatch to the final destination.
• Strengthen relationships with insurers through providing prompt, clear, factual reports, outstanding service and favourable outcomes for all parties.
• Insurers representative and pre-shipment surveys for the relocation of heavy mine site equipment.
• Analyse and review initial instructions and supporting documents to determine the next course of action.
• Review repair submissions and where required negotiate quotations for the purpose of making an offer of settlement to the insured.
• Interview claimants and witnesses for the purpose of providing accurate and factual reports.
• Engaging of valuers to prepare valuations appraisals of various plant and industrial equipment for the purpose of settling parties.
• Determine policy coverage and negotiate settlements within the approved delegated authority.
• Initiate recovery action against identified parties.
• Arranging salvage and disposal of equipment and goods and reduce further losses.

• Condition Reports for insurance companies and owners prior to sale.
• Pre Purchase Reports; comprehensive reports on vessel condition for prospective purchasers.
• Hull Reports for insurance and pre-purchase surveys.

• Creating defect lists for initial survey inspections.
• Managing the re-instatement of commercial vessels into survey.
• Assist in swamp tests & inclining experiments.
