Callum Timmins

• After completing my signwriting apprenticeship, i decided to search for a job in my real passion. Carpentry. In may of 2021 i started as an apprentice carpenter. I signed up with a small builder where i have stayed. I worked in a small team where i was able to follow work directions and provide input in an effective manner. Working for a small builder allowed me to gain experience in a wide variety of different aspects of the building industry. Our team built many homes, starting from the site set out all the way through to final landscape completion. In June of 2024, i officially completed my carpentry apprenticeship. Finishing my apprenticeship 11 months early shows my willingness to learn, ability to carry out tasks efficiently and safely and shows a respect to the job and to others around me.

I have loved my time so far as a carpenter and am looking forward to continuing this career with the opportunity to move into high end homes to really achieve an even higher sense of reward.

Upon completion of year 12, I moved straight into the work force full time as a Signwriter. During my apprenticeship i learned many skills. These include but are not limited to, face to face client conversations, reading and interpreting plans/drawings, general safe use of power and hand tools, positive work in team environments and following direction from senior work colleagues. I completed my apprenticeship and became a qualified signwriter in late 2020.
