-framing (both pre fab and stick )

Tasks mainly consist of

-cutting plates

-marking out plates

-building walls

-standing the roof

-Assisted with movement of materials and equipment to job sites.

-Gained valuable education in residential and commercial building codes.

-Interpreted specifications and construction drawings to understand tasks necessary to complete each job.

-Monitored tool and equipment condition and arranged repairs.

-Followed established job site safety regulations and maintained safe and clean work area.

-Read and interpreted blueprints and construction documents to determine project directives.

This job was fast pase environment where lots of other trades worked around you. Tasks mainly consisted

-frames

-roof trusses

-internal and external lock ups ( including eves,weather boards,decks and pergolas )

-internal fix and fit offs.

This was my first year of my apprenticeship and was mainly frames and lock ups, with a few fixes as well. So spent a lot of the time

-pre cutting

-basic powertools

-cleaning the site

-was shown the basics of understanding plans and layout

-Kept job site cleaned up properly and all debris disposed of in respective containers

-Assisted with movement of materials and equipment to job sites.
