Flexible hard worker ready to learn and contribute to team success.
Currently working with Orica Yarwun, a manufacturing plant specializing in sodium cyanide, ammonium nitrate, and its emulsion. Collaborating with plant integrity and maintenance engineering teams.
I am working on my thesis, which will result in reduced plant maintenance and improved general safety. My research focuses on investigating the premature failure of ammonium nitrate emulsion pump lip seals, which leads to the discharge of the explosive.
Duties:
Bunnings is a hardware store in which I have worked in a number of different roles.
Duties:
ATS Plumbing and Draining is my family's local plumbing company in Rockhampton. The business takes pride in providing quality service allowing the retention of customer loyalty.
Duties:
VIPAC is an engineering firm that specializes in a variety of disciplines. I worked primarily within their vibrations engineering team, while spending a small duration with the acoustics team as well.

Embracing a strong sense of sustainability, I have a major interest in Hydrogen. Since discovering the Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub proposal, I have been eager to contribute to its implementation and success. Undertaking additional chemistry units as advised by the former director of the Centre for Hydrogen and Renewable Energy in Gladstone has allowed me to gain a stronger understanding of hydrogen. This guidance was invaluable, as it directly aligns with my career aspirations and equips me with the necessary knowledge to excel in the field of renewable energy.
Renewable Hydrogen Injection to Reduce Fuel Consumption
I am currently in the process of designing and building a hydrogen electrolyser powered by solar powered batteries. The aim of which is to reduce the fuel usage of my car. After doing calculations of energy use and efficiencies I have established the planned setup reduce fuel consumption by around 15% with consumables being water and electrolyte, both incredibly cheap to source, requiring primarily upfront capital as expenses. While this would not be commercially viable, I am undertaking the project to demonstrate the efficacy of hydrogen as a substitute fuel source.
Vehicle Thermodynamics
I am currently building a track car and a potential issue I have identified is the heat retention of the system due to inadequate cooling based on structural modification limitations. As such I have planned the implementation of an evaporative cooling system for the radiator and intercooler, allowing the extraction of heat at a much higher rate due to the heat capacity of water.
Construction of an Offroad Racing Buggy
Another project I am working on is an offroad racing buggy, I have built the frame so far and am moving towards the engine soon when I get a break from university and work, it is a slow project as it is not a priority, but I am applying knowledge from my previous units to increase rigidity, design suspension and minimize damage from a potential crash. It is currently my most beloved project as it will be built from the ground up.
