Cameron Crane

• I have been in and around the construction industry near enough my whole life. Working on sites since I was 16 years old and in the civil sector since I was 19.
• For the majority of my career I have been involved in underground power lines working closely with cable jointers and engineers to complete 4-5 service jobs per week. This included everything from setting up signage and traffic management, identifying the correct cables, finding jointing positions, backfilling, prepping for surface works and being on call once every 4 weeks for any emergency works sometimes working 85+ hours a week. An extremely fast paced environment with multiple things to think about at any given time.
• Although the majority of these jobs being dug by hand I also have a good amount of experience banking machines to dig down and around live cables.
• I have experience in other areas such as general building, marine works, very basic drainage and concrete but I'm by no means an expert in these roles.

A few key traits that I think make me a good candidate for most roles include -

• a logical thought process that allows me to complete work in the most efficient and safe way possible.
• an ability to learn and pick things up quickly.
• physically fit and happy to work hard for sustained amounts of time.
• ability to communicate my thoughts and ideas in a manner that allows people to understand how and what I mean.
• eager to continue learning and progressing.
