• In this role I performed evaluations and assessments to recommend best treatment for individual patients.
• I consulted with direct-care staff to implement best methods to achieve therapy goals.
• Recommended equipment to use in-home to maximise opportunities for wellness.

• In this locum role I covered acute wards and provided Occupational Therapy intervention to stroke, geriatric and general medical patients.

• In this role I supported clients to access the NDIS. I mainly worked with clients from deprived backgrounds, often facing homelessness.
• I supported clients with both physical and ill-mental health conditions and liaised with various health specialists to provide evidence that my clients lived with a permanent disability that significantly affected their ability to be involved in everyday activities.
• I developed skills in efficient, structured and concise report writing

• In this role I mainly worked with children, adolescents and their families to provide Occupational Therapy intervention in their homes, schools or play areas via Telehealth.
• I completed therapy sessions via Zoom and conducted various reports, such as Functional Capacity Assessments which involved liaising with the client and various health professionals or teachers involved in their care / everyday life.

• In this role I worked with individuals with a wide range of physical, social, mental and intellectual disabilities, and their families, to focus on their specific needs and situation to achieve their goals
• This ranged from working with young children to enhance their communication / social skills, to working with adults with mental ill-health and /or physical disabilities to help to identify their goals and break down the barriers that were affecting their abilities to engage in everyday life.
• I completed Functional Capacity Assessments, Sensory Profile Assessments and Letters of Recommendation.

• Over 3 years in this rotation I worked in acute medical, acute medicine of the elderly, intermediate care rehabilitation, assessment / rehabilitation in relation to progressive neurological disorders, inpatient neuro-rehabilitation, post COVID-19 rehabilitation and acute stroke.

Throughout this rotation I :

• Developed skills in various core clinical areas as, due to the COVID -19 outbreak, the demands on the NHS service were changing rapidly.
• Performed evaluations and assessments to recommend best treatment for individual patients.
• Coordinated interventions with multidisciplinary treatment team.

• Provided education to empower patients and families to understand conditions, treatments and treatment options for managing symptoms.

• Short term post after completion of my final year elective placement with this team (covered staff leave).
• Provided assessment and treatment of people with a mental illness who have offended, or are at risk of offending
• Meticulously reviewed records and referrals to determine and implement best treatment methods.

• Provided intervention at individual and group settings to promote opportunities for participation in meaningful occupation during incarceration
• Supported individuals to transition toward lower security and community settings
