  • The day-to-day running of the unit as team leader.
  • Administration and monitored chemotherapy regimens, biotherapy agents, supportive care medications, hydration therapy, and blood products.
  • Comprehensive nursing assessment and evidence-based management of cancer agent toxicities.
  • Management of hypersensitive reactions.
  • Provision of patient education of chemotherapy regimens, making necessary adjustments according to health literacy, etc.
  • Escalating care of the deteriorating patient.
  • Timely referrals to allied health.

  • Rebooking patients for their next treatments (where required).
  • Regular monitoring personal and generic emails for vital correspondence from specialists, colleagues, and the hospital.
