I was seconded by the Operations Manager to work as part of a TFI team to assist the home to rectify and address the identified NOT METS and to also ensure that the home was complaint with the other 44 standards of care. Following the successful TFI I returned to the Registered Nurse role and in the past 1 and 1/2 years I was seconded to assist other homes during periods of Not Mets or identified GAP’s. My role during those times was to assist the home to achieve compliance providing a hands-on role which included facilitating toolbox sessions and implementing processes for sustainability at the home level.

Whilst my primary role was to identify changes in resident acuity ensure the assessment and care plans were a true reflection of the care needs and submissions of ACFI was in line with legislative and organisational timelines, a large component of the role included educating the Registered Nurses on resident assessment and care plan congruency.
