Cas Roycroft

• I’m a hands-on, practical, and approachable team player with a diverse background in FIFO mining, small business ownership, and customer service. I currently own my own home in Perth and have a genuine passion for DIY projects, renovations, plants, and gardening. I also manage an investment property and understand the value of good advice, reliable tools, and excellent service, which is why I’m excited by the opportunity to work with the Bunnings team.
• Most recently, I worked FIFO as a Drillers Assistant in WA’s mining sector, where I gained extensive experience using tools, maintaining machinery, and working safely under pressure. I hold both a Forklift Licence (LF) and a Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence and am confident working in physically demanding environments. I now work for myself managing Airbnb properties and short-term rentals — a flexible, self-driven role that allows me to be available for casual shifts on weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
• I’m currently looking for a casual position where I can stay active, be part of a great team, and help customers with projects I genuinely understand. My practical experience, passion for DIY and plants, and flexible availability make me a great fit for the Bunnings environment.

2024

• Completed Certificate 2 in Drilling Operations.

• Promoted to Drillers Assistant 2 / Trainee Driller.

2023

• Moved from New Zealand to Perth with partner.

• Acquired Forklift and Heavy Rigid Truck License before being accepted into a male dominated role as a FIFO Drillers Assistant.

• Promoted within 3 months from Utility Worker to Drillers Assistant 1.

2022

• Started my own business called Croft Studio.

• Accepted into the Wella Master Colour Expert program. Passed all exams and received the only 100% mark in one of the exam segments as well as the highest overall score within the NZ intake of 2022.

2019 - 2022

• Enrolled at the University of Waikato and completed a four-year degree in three years, while still working part time / full time hours in salon, managing, and providing freelance wedding and event styling services on the side and working as a private contractor teaching aerial fitness classes.

2018

• Placing in the top 20 in Australia and New Zealand for the Wella Trend Vision Hairdressing Competition 2019 when I was 21 in the senior category.

• Awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placings in my categories at the HITO Regional Hairdressing Competition 2018.

• Awarded Regional Hairstylist of the Year 2018 in my first year of being a Senior Stylist.

2017

• Awarded 2nd and 3rd placings in my categories at the HITO Regional Hairdressing Competition 2017 in the apprentice category.

• Placing in the top 20 in Australia and New Zealand for the Wella Trend Vision Hairdressing Competition 2017 in Australia and New Zealand when I was 18 in the apprentice category.
