Shortly after moving to Perth, I acquired a FIFO role in the mines, working as a Driller's Assistant. Every new starter is employed on a 3 to 6 month probation, of which I was signed on exactly after 3 months. After six months, I received a second promotion, which included the added responsibility of managing the crew, organising stores, ordering parts and submitting paperwork. My daily duties also included collecting and running samples, performing routine tasks in setting up, operating, and dismantling machinery and equipment, and performing repairs and maintenance on the various machines and vehicles. I was appointed the drillers 'second' and was required to assist him whenever needed, as well as complete and submit required paperwork on behalf of the crew, ensuring our activities abided by all health and safety regulations and that my crew were always operating safely.
I first joined Altitude as a student, taking aerial fitness classes and becoming obsessed with this recreational fitness. I was approached to become an instructor and started teaching beginner classes as well as continuing to train myself in the more advance classes. I balanced this between my hairdressing career and business.
As of March 2022, I left the salon I was employed at and started my own solo business called Croft Studio, providing all things hair, extensions, makeup, bridal and event styling. I managed my own social media, marketing, and website development for my business, taking photographs, creating content, reals, story media and copy writing. As well as this, I took care of my own stock, inventory, administration, appointments, bookkeeping (on Xero) and enrolling myself in education to continue growing.
At ProStyle my roles also include overseeing my own clientele, handling money, cashing up, answering phone, taking bookings, opening, closing, and assisted with educating and training junior stylists. During my time at ProStyle I also created and developed the website and online shop, as well as managing the social media and marketing for the business.
At KTIZO my roles included being responsible for my own clientele, handling money, cashing up, answering phone, taking bookings, opening and closing the salon.
I worked at SkyCity Hamilton, mostly at the Zone Sports Bar as a bartender, barista, and waitress. I was also often shifted to the Cafe doing the same roles, or at the Bowling Alley reception desk. All of these departments included handling money, cashing up, answering phone, taking bookings, opening, and closing.
This was my first job when I was in high school, as a Christmas Casual at Mirrou in the Te Awa Mall. After the Christmas period I was then given a part time contract. I was also sometimes shifted into other stores around Hamilton to assist when short staffed. My roles included handling money, cashing up, answering phone, opening and closing down.
