Acting Nursing Unit Manager in 2023
I am writing to express my interest in the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position in SLHD. With more than four years of experience as Registered Nurse, I am passionate to bring my expertise / skills in this role for HITH team to advocated patient centred care in the community and clinical setting. Throughout my nursing career, I have cultivated a strong foundation in patient care, clinical assessment, and treatment planning. My dedication to delivering high-quality healthcare services aligns with Sydney Local health district’s commitment to excellence. I am particularly drawn to the CNS role in this HITH team because of the emphasis on providing advanced clinical nursing care independently in a community setting. In my previous roles, I have successfully coordinated and managed patient care both in traditional hospital settings. This experience has equipped me with the skills necessary to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care plans tailored to individual needs. Especially, emergency nursing throughout the Covid-19 period strengthened my abilities to cope as front-line healthcare worker and enabled me to build great communicate skills with patients, family members but also staff members. I am confident in my ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including medical teams, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to optimise patient outcomes. Moreover, I believe that it is critical for nursing staff to empower the patient in the care plan. Furthermore, my strong communication skills and empathetic approach have allowed me to establish with patients and their families, ensuring effective education and support during their home-based care journey. I am dedicated to promoting patient and family involvement in the decision-making process, empowering them to actively participate in the healthcare management.
