Achievements:

• Actively participated in a department-led delegation of Victorian government schools to raise brand awareness, build reputation and promote school-to-tertiary study pathways for Korean and Japanese students graduating with a Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE).
• Positively represented Essendon Keilor College and Victorian Schools brand in international student recruitment exhibitions in Seoul and Tokyo, in conjunction with Austrade, the Victorian Government Trade and Investment Office and department-accredited education agencies to recruit full-fee paying international students into Victorian government schools.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the International Student Program, overseeing two administration and six teaching staff.
• Interview and assess the suitability of prospective new students; process enrolments and transfers; subject change guidance; course progress support and intervention strategies; oversee assessment and reporting; and collate all data to ensure ESOS and DE ISP compliance.
• Assist in the promotion and marketing of the international student program by preparing, reviewing and editing all promotional and marketing material, including translated material.
• Oversee the English Language Centre and Intensive English Language Program, including initial language level testing, progress reporting and management of transition data.
• Maintain VISIT database and comply with, and report to the International Education Division
• Provide teachers with information relevant and necessary to ensure the welfare and education of all international students particularly those experiencing difficulties
• Work with staff to develop positive and innovative school programs to foster the welfare of international students support their integration into the College community
• Assist in the marketing of the international student program
• Liaise with the College leadership and provide guidance around ISP compliance matters
• Manage welfare, behaviour and academic progress issues
• Assist the Homestay Coordinator with student/home management
• Provide a child safe environment in accordance with Child Safe Standards.

Achievements:
Re-developed and implemented two Intensive English Language Programs (IELPs) that consolidate and extend English language and learning skills to support 30 newly-arrived international students to access the wider curriculum and transition into mainstream classes.

Responsibilities:

• To develop, evaluate and review the Intensive English Language Program (IELP) curriculum.
• Collaboration with teachers to develop the curriculum outline, including researching new materials.
• Maintenance of student profiles including the sensitive treatment of confidential information on pastoral issues and liaison with International Student Coordinators, Year Level Coordinators and teachers both within the ELC and mainstream classes regarding ELC students' academic progress and welfare needs.
• Implementation of an Orientation Program for new arrivals in the ELC.
• Develop co-curricular activities that cater for newly arrived international students including a 'City Tour' program that aims to help students to learn more about the city of Melbourne.

• Lead a team of six Spanish teachers and assistants and oversee the preparation, monitoring and evaluation the Spanish program within the whole college P-12
• Undertake direct teaching of Spanish (Years 7, 8 & 11) and English literacy support classes to groups of Year 8 students to promote learning and improve student outcomes
• Foster innovation, creativity and new teaching and learning strategies while maintaining a diversity of texts, teaching materials and other teaching resources
• Support and contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of Spanish teaching programs
