MLC is a large Girls school with over 2000 students. The school has four sub schools that are overseen by Heads of School. The Junior Secondary School has an enrolment of 540 Students.

The main responsibilities of the Head of JSS are to oversee the overall running of the Junior Secondary School which includes:
