I have extensive experience leading on-ground and desktop projects, engaging with broad stakeholder groups, scanning to address current and emerging policy issues, delivering presentations and workshops, and leading strategic planning work. I am passionate about finding practical solutions for communities, land managers and the environment.
As Trust for Nature's dedicated policy advisor, I have led a range of projects aimed at improving conservation outcomes on private land. These include successfully advocating for tax reform to remove barriers to permanently protecting nature, incentivising conservation on farming land using a range of financial tools including branding and carbon markets, and identifying accounting mechanisms to measure and monetise on-ground benefits of ecosystem services. I work extensively with a broad range of stakeholders, including conservation and primary production landholders, investors, financial institutions, academics, Aboriginal Victorians and all levels of government. I routinely prepare clear, concise submissions and reports, and have led the development of the organisations' strategic plan.
