I am excited to express my genuine interest in the Talent Pathways High Performance Lead role at the AFL. My qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science and the recent attainment of a 2023 ASCA Strength and Conditioning certification, showcasing my dedication to this field.
My passion for Australian Rules Football (AFL) is the driving force behind my enthusiasm for athlete identification and development. I have a keen eye for spotting exceptional talent and a thorough understanding of the sports industry. During my practical placement at Rise High Performance, working with athletes from Rowville Sports College, I gained valuable insights into athlete development.
Additionally, as a strength and conditioning coach at the Centre of Strength and Wellness, I focus on coaching athletic development sessions for children and adolescents. This hands-on experience has honed my ability to understand and support the unique needs of young athletes, helping them reach their full potential.
Beyond my professional work, I actively engage in local football, playing for the Glen Eira Gryphons. This not only reflects my passion for AFL but also gives me an inside look at the sport's intricacies and the upcoming talents in the AFL draft.
In this role, my goal is to lead and positively influence emerging athletes, both on and off the field. I excel at building connections, especially with young individuals. My commitment is to help these athletes succeed not only in their sport but also in personal growth. My in-depth knowledge of athlete development, along with my ability to guide them towards realizing their full potential, positions me as an ideal candidate.
I am eager to contribute my skills, enthusiasm, and dedication to the AFL, playing a key role in its growth and success while nurturing the holistic development of its athletes
