(1) ASIC's Business Research & Innovation Initiative (BRII) Project (financial disclosure fraud detection):

  • Successfully completed business architecture modelling and functional requirement specification for the ASIC's BRII project in a stage one grant application, which received funding for stage twom which involves writing a full development proposal plan within a budget of $1 million.
  • Contributed to completing stage 2 proposal, waiting for approval results at the end of 2022.


(2) Magnitsky Project (zero trust platform solution for tracking sanctioned and politically exposed people networks to reduce false positive suspicious activities and provide AI powered heat maps of detected and already known transnational money laundering and hybrid financial warfare schemes.

  • Researched the system challenges of Austrac and banks' anti-money laundering (AML) systems to identify a new open system platform solution. This involved using multidisciplinary research and critical thinking methods to break down problems, design, evaluate & decide digital solutions.
  • Conceptualised a first draft of a platform solution architecture model, which will be incrementally enhanced towards becoming a logical design model.
  • Developed project partnerships with IT solution providers specializing in AI data analytics, AML systems, behaviour intelligence and geopolitics cybersecurity university-research services to be involved scoping the greenfield project. Will also contribute to bringing in future civil society (eg Transparency International, university and CSIRO research collaborators to the project
  • Articulated problem statement and simplified technical solution description for project sponsor to pitch at federal government parties and venture capitalists for endorsement and funding.
