Provided effective individual and group early intervention services using the Early Start Denver Model approach, working in a key worker role within a multidisciplinary team, to support best outcomes for children and their families. I additionally provided individual Occupational Therapy services to children between ages of 3 and 14. Caseload was predominantly in area of Autism, ADHD and behaviour support.
Administered and completed a range of standardized and informal assessments to support therapy planning and provision that aligned with clients goals and strengths. Placement Goal: Project based placement in corporate office, with goal of exploring the potential for development of therapy service that could be provided by the organisation in Outside of School Hours Care Environment (OSHC).
Responsibilities: Extensive research into OSHC governance, operating models and legal requirements, collaboration and information gathering from key stakeholders, development of potential therapy service offers and creating a detailed document outlining the findings and subsequent recommendations after critical analysis of information. Attended five clinical days at Stirling Speech and Allied Health, where I co-facilitated Early Start Denver Model therapy groups.

Responsibilities: Work as a co-therapist, assisting the therapists to run both group and individual intervention sessions. I planned and ran intervention sessions with both groups and individuals. Complete accurate documentation and progress reports for clients.
University Placement - Residential Aged Care
Birralee Residential Aged Care Facility
Placement Goal: To observe and interact with residents and understand the role of an Occupational Therapist in the aged care setting.
Responsibilities: Running daily activities with the therapy assistants, planning and organising activities for the residents as well as observing and having the opportunity to complete Occupational Therapy Assessments. Ran and observed therapy sessions in the transitional care ward for clients with Dementia. Planning and implementing intervention for a selected client after information gathering.
University Placement - Paediatrics
Connolly Primary School
Placement Goal: To observe and identify children with areas of delayed development. After five placement days of observation and assessment, I was required to plan and conduct four intervention sessions that targeted identified areas of developmental delay.
Responsibilities: Assisting teacher and education assistant in running activities with children throughout the day. These activities included arts and craft, play and other early childhood learning activities. After observation of a child with potential developmental delay, I designed, implemented, and reflected on five sessions of interventions based on identified goals.
