I come from New Zealand with heavy industrial experience, starting my apprenticeship with falcon electrical in Napier Hawkes Bay and also qualifying with them 4 years later. I then spent 2 years qualified working with falcon. In those 2 years I have done various different projects including geo thermal power station safety upgrades, waste water treatment plant existing upgrades and new installs, fertilizer plant upgrades and mill upgrades, this all being low and extra low voltage power and control systems. With working on mainly projects I gained skills in other areas such as all cable support systems, (cable tray, stainless and PVC conduit etc) switchboard upgrade, VSD motor supply and control systems, generator supply and control and various other 24-volt systems. We always worked in big crews so I am a good team player and I respect others highly.
I have just recently moved to Australia (Perth) starting my underground mining career in February 2022 with southern mining electrical, who I really enjoyed working for but unfortunately they did not offer the roster I desire. I then moved onto HAHN Electrical in November 2022 working out at Odysseus Nickel mine which I also really enjoyed and am still here to this day, unfortunately this place is shutting down in May which is disappointing but I realize this is just the industry we are in and these things happen. so im now looking for the next place to move onto. I’m a keen young bloke who wants to continue to learn and expand my electrical knowledge in the underground mining industry.
